RUDY SANTORE, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Tennessee. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in both microeconomic theory and industrial organization. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from The Ohio State University in 1998.
Professor Santore's research uses microeconomic theory and experimental methods to analyze various economic problems and issues. He is interested in the use of contingent compensation in asymmetric information environments. Much of his recent work has focused on corporate governance issues, such as the effect of performance-based compensation on the incentive to commit fraud.
Professor Santore has presented his research at numerous conferences, including the American Law and Economics Association, Southern Economic Association, and the Western Economic Association. He also has been invited to give seminars at academic institutions, such as Texas A&M University, Tulane University, University of Alabama, and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
