LARRY FAUVER, PH.D. is an Assistant Professor of Finance, and a Research Fellow for the Corporate Governance Center at the University of Tennessee. He received both an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Youngstown State University. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters in Economics and a Ph.D. in Finance. Previously, Dr. Fauver was employed as a faculty member at the University of Miami.

Dr. Fauver’s research focuses on firm performance, corporate governance, and corruption, both in a domestic and international environment. Specifically, his research focuses on board composition and firm valuation, the effect of corruption on bond yields in a domestic and international setting, and corporate governance and valuation across countries. Dr. Fauver has published in top-tier finance journals including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, and other finance journals. His research has also appeared in practioner’s journals such as Corporate Finance Review. Dr. Fauver teaches the introductory international finance courses in UT’s undergraduate and graduate curriculum.
